Frequently Asked Questions
Here are some of the commonly asked questions from the parents of our students.
If you have a question, please do not hesitate to contact us using our contact form or call our school during school hours.
Aspiring Music Teacher?
If you are interested in becoming a music teacher for our school, come talk to us!
How old should a child be before learning a musical instrument?
There is no minimum age for a child to start learning a musical instrument. The best time is when the child develops an interest in the instrument and is physically capable of handling the instrument. It would be best if the child is able to understand and follow instructions.
Will we have to buy our own instruments?
It depends on the instrument your child is interested in learning. Our school provides instruments such as piano and drums in the practice rooms. It is always best if the child has their own instrument to practice on and is appropriately sized for the child.
Will the child be required to sit for music exams?
It is recommended that the child sit for their music exam when they demonstrate proficiency in their instrument. We provide internationally recognised exam certification from ABRSM, UK and TRINITY College London.
Can adults pick up and learn an instrument?
Yes, we welcome students of all ages and from all walks of life. It is never to late to learn to play a musical instrument.
